HI, i just tried to register for the google adsense after one day i got mail that you should have a self hosted blog/website which should be atleast 6 months older. No more blogspot blogs are approved for Adsense... Please write your suggestions...
This is a hot and sad news for me. Google may have done this to avoid spam and to decrease google site index traffic. Anyway it is not god for beginners.
Google has made the application process for their Adsense program extremely tight in order to keep the best publishers. They really don't seem to need more small time publishers because of the large hold they have over the webmaster community (the present). But as time goes, they will need to expand. You will need quality sites to get approval, I suggest trying to join in using an Adsense revenue sharing community, DP for example.
This is soo stupid but I can understand them, they were getting raped a lot . I feel lucky that I have a healty adsense account.
I think this is good. When i was accepted 18 months ago, i had a website that didn't worth anything. And this blogspot thing, is bad. Everybody should have a proper domain.
I heard this news a few months ago. I never found a formal post about it on their site, but I suppose this is only applicable to new members. If one has an existing account, I think he can still put Adsense on a new blog - not sure though. However, I think this is just a fair decision for Adsense. This is because most new bloggers do not really understand fully its principle before joining. Most of them just put ads on their new blogs, and do not care about the advertisers. All they want is to make money from ad clicks, but they don't care if the ad clicks are not being converted into sales. If a blog is 6 months old, it can be assumed that it has already sufficient traffic from search engines. We all know that visitors from search engines are the ones really looking to buy something. Social traffic don't click ads. If they do, I doubt if they will buy the product. About blogspot blogs, does this mean Adsense will still disapprove it even if it is already 6 months old and has sufficient search engine traffic? Will they NEVER approve blogspot blogs FOREVER? Anyone?
The title here is mis-leading Of course, google made the entry rules a lot more tougher..but it does not mean there are no approvals! Make a good website and continue building the same for six months and then apply for adsense....One will be hopefully, able to get an account! Regards, RightMan
This is good that adsense are filtering their new accounts. Since I am using adsense, I saw that it is now quite easy to be approved for their system. It was harder years ago
This is a good decision in the long term context. New publishers should work hard for 6 months and build a great site with good content and then apply for adsense. By that time, Google will accept your site and economic activity will improve means good ad rates.
