John, in all fairness, v7 Directory has a large number of cost advantages that other directories don't have, including: 1. It gets a significant amount of link equity free from the powerful v7 network; 2. It had a pre-established clientele from Bluefind and Sevenseek 3. It gets significant free marketing on the high traffic v7 forums.
O come on now amit then what is the point. People in link sales announcing that there site is getting 100k uniques a day and yet still they gotta come to dp to sell their links. Like I said. It is a close to accurate figure. If u want to deny it fine, but thousands of people use those figures so instead of telling me that they are innacurate, try convincing the people which actually use them.
I do realize that Jeff, and I do appreciate the amount of marketing you do for Aviva. Got to wonder about the intellectual capacity of somebody who thinks that traffic rankings based on the Internet usage of a small pool of users could be anywhere near accurate, even in the face of stats that prove it to be entirely bogus. John Scott Can I ask you a question? Just wondering, why did you give up on bluefind? I understand that google did what they did, but why stop promoting it. If you remember uncoverthenet was pr8 and took a hit but google gave it back to them. Just wondering why you let bluefind just sit there?
I didn't. I've tried a lot of different things with BlueFind. Re-did all the categories, re-edit all the listings, and the BlueFind.com domain was still obviously "marked" by Google. The BlueFind.org domain is doing better now, but we have a much more effective solution in the works now, and that is importing BlueFind listings to other web directories that are not in Google's sights. Once that happens, the BlueFind brand will be retired for good.
I want to tell u something. Before you start attacking people on a personal level look at yourself. Is that clear. You go and call up rackspace or any other provider and give them the figures you posted and ask them if a dedicated server can handle that kind of load. Probably a Sun Netra or something. What is your backround in computing and what technical knowhow do you have besides running a forum?
Less posting and more editing! crack the whip on the editors!!! I want to know if my site fits the requirements of v7n so i have submitted.
I think you have technical computing mixed up with web hosting. Two different ball games. I've been hosting sites since 2002 with a lot of different servers, and a lot of different sites. Like I said, the server we have V7N on handles the traffic just fine. You want to argue with reality? Have fun.
I will be submitting my sites to V7N before it turns ANNUAL. John is always ahead of his plans and schedule and I dont want to miss this OPPORTUNITY. He is an EXTREMELY VERY Bright Businessman. I suggest to other folks is better start your submissions NOW.
hmmmm you know something i dont ? I never even knew about bluefind and that it was a PR8 at one time Seems someones already been to the top and regardless off whether V7N goes annual or permanent its still a must be listed in directory and as long as the directory is well managed and operated as it is here....... then their shouldn't be any hesitation... thx malcolm
LOl John i dont make directorys because we need lot of money to promote them.As dirs dont have content to make natural links most of backlinks we have to buy and later if we keep site spam free then it is called quality directory. Now after all that hard work if people are willing to paying yearly is it wrong to accept?.Now u have 3 guys working on directory and u need to pay them monthly i think or else they will stop working. Members who make directory s as commercial site nothing wrong in deleting links after time expires as they are not cheating them. Now webmasters like you who are making directorys to give good info and quality refferal links for your visitors then it is 100% wrong if they charge yearly and delete links if they dont pay.
Actually......Nah !!! Just keeping it to myself for the moment. But like I said I will submit my sites to V7N before it turns Annual maybe now or in future. Its a win win situation even if it doesn't because V7N is a good directory to be listed. Always !! Thanks
