I looked at msn today and noticed that every one of my websites do not have the main page indexed. I also noticed that my sites only have about 10% of the subpages indexed compared to about a month ago. Does anyone know what may be going on?
I had the same problem a few weeks ago: I norally get some traffic from msn, and suddenly it stopped... It had all pages still index but the homepage was missing and that was the only page that gave me the traffic (ranking #2 for a popular keyword). I check my apache logs and saw that msnbot hadn't spidered my homepage for a few days but did spider the subpages... I just re-submitted the homepage url, and within 12hours the homepage was back in the index, on it's original spot (#2 or #3). So my suggestion to you: just resubmit the homepage url, and see what happens.
Is it better to submit the site to msn or should I wait for msn to add it again naturally? Where is the submission site?
I actually submitted the site again , or actually that was the first time I ever submitted a site to MSN but it was back in the results very soon after that
Ofcourse you can submit your page when ever you like how many time you like, as they say: "Generally our web crawler, MSNBot, can find most pages on the Internet. However if your site does not appear on MSN Search, you can send us the address (URL)." and thats in the submittion page at: http://search.msn.com/docs/submit.aspx?FORM=SUNO
