No luck with adword

    Hello,

After 10 years of having websites I decided to use Adwords to bootstrap this website (with an old user database).

    - From almost 300 clicks I have had just 3 signups. The website is a free matchmaker/date finder website ( sexierlove dot com ). So why is that people searching for dating, free dating, free match maker etc. would not want to signup?

    - I was forced to disable content networks specially for Malaysia. I guess heavy adwords fraud happens there. Most of the arrivals from Malaysia (content network) exit the site from the first page while those coming from search at least view 4-5 pages.

    - Could someone please advise how can I build a cheaper traffic on the website?

    Thanks,
    Mac

If your site is empty of member, people will not join easily
If your site is a ready script, with no modifications at all, people will not join easily
If your site is not active (by the members), people will not join easily

Just some reasons I think know...

My website has 1000 members in the database but I have unfortunately lost the photos.

I am using my own script but I guess its features are a bit outdated by now.

But I guess I should improve the impression to people arriving at the website anyway.

    Thanks for your comments.

It is hard to develop communities these days. You really have to have something unique for people to signup. With regards to Google, you are not alone. I have used them to promote my previous website but I am not lucky with them. Honestly, I just felt that the people clicking my adwords were not really looking to see what my site has to offer rather than just doing it for personal gain. This is just how I feel. I could be wrong. Anyway, I just stopped using Google for now. I tried Yahoo also, but got the same result.
