    Of course it's better than nothing. NoFollow links will still:
    1. Help you get indexed faster.
    2. Drive traffic to your site.
    3. Boost your SERP in Yahoo, MSN (Live), etc.

    Good post by zexy. He's right, it's better than nothing. You might as well get what you can out of it if you have that opportunity. On that same note, i'm not going out of my way to get a nofollow backlink.

    Of course, nofollow links are better than having no links at all.
    Nofollow links are still counted by other search engines such as Yahoo as backlinks... They can be also a good source of traffic if they come from relevant sites.

    I had no idea... Thanks for the info. I always thought it was sort of a standardization thing, that it was uniform across all platforms.

    zexy always has the best information. I think instead of following all of DP, when I come online I'm just going to go to his profile and read his posts. They're better than all the rest of DP combined.
