Hi If the internet no longer existed, what would you do to replace this activity? Would having no internet be a good or bad thing? There are lots of people who no longer interact face to face and feel more comfortable interacting online. This is probably one of the disadvantages of the Internet. Would the world become a better place if there was no Internet? Would people understand each other better?
If the Internet ceased to exist... 1. I would go bankrupt. 2. I would lose touch with most of my relatives, who live thousands of km away, and 3. I would lose hope that humanity will eventually overcome the oppression of corrupt military-industrial corporate domination and create an equitable and sustainable society utilizing the readily available resources and technology we already have to care for the environment and one another by uniting in cause via the singularly vital communications revolution that had been (is) the Internet. No internet? Well I would probably do something smarted, like find a girl or become a lawyer or something... Go internet!
I would read more. Actually, it would be more accurate to say I would read more offline, since most of my time online is spent reading articles on blogs, message boards, and comics sites.
