Normally it will take up to 7 days to get your site indexed in Google. However, for faster result, you can try to bookmark it to social networking sites. Most of my sites get indexed in Google with just 3 days by using this technique.

Nobody uses Yahoo, that could be the reason for so few hits. Plus, have you checked the search volumes for your chosen keywords & keyphrases? As for Google, be patient. Install Google's webmaster tools and comment on some blogs to attract the spiders.
