No impressions for my placement related campaign

Hi, I am quite new to adwords, but have been running a keyword-related campaign and I understand how that works.

I decided to try a placement-related campaign. Adwords says that the websites I've chosen are all active, but I have zero impressions after 48 hours. As far as I can see I can't increase my cpc bids individually for different websites, I can only adjust the overall CPC bid. If they are all active, do I need to increase my bid in order to get impressions?

Or is there something else I need to do?

    Hi,

First your ads (whatever they are image ads, text ads, etc.) need to be manually approved by the AdWords team. This is specific to placement targeted and content targeted campaigns.

Secondly your bids may be too low to be displayed on your targeted websites. Have you checked the recommended CPC or CPM for your selected websites?

Another reason can be that the websites don't support the format of your ads. But I guess you've checked this before choosing them.

Concerning managing your CPC individually, I think you can. Maybe try this:

    # Click the name of the ad group containing the sites that you want to edit.
    # Click Edit Placements and Bids, which appears above your placement list.
    # Add two asterisks and the new maximum CPM or CPC bid at the right end of the desired placements.
    # Click Save.

Thanks for your reply. You werwe right about setting CPC bids for individual websites. You also said:

How do I do this? I can't see how to find this information out. It says 'active' next to all of them.

    Thanks for your help
