I am confused i have like 190+ incoming links from yahoo, 98 or so from MSN but 0 from google. I dont get it . What can i do to improve this problem as i would really love to get traffic from google.. or any search engine for that matter
google only updates its links 3 to 4 times a year.....around the same time it updates the toolbar PR.....don't worry about it, google sees and counts your links, it never shows the true number of backlinks.
Google is the largest search engine and it take time to count your links. Please be patient and i am sure you will be shock with the result.
Even though google updates your links, it will not show all your backlinks. But I think yahoo will show it.
google does not show EVEry single links into your site. better to use yahoo and msn to check your backlink.
Its ironic. I had maybe 10% of my links included on the last update. From like 4 it went up to 9. It only listed the non relevant websites that we PR1 or PR0, and completely missed off the PR5 and PR6 sites that are on VERY VERY specific terms to my area of gaming. Then like 3 days later after the update finsihed, all sites disapeared and im back down to 4 links again. Google backlinks is realy bad in my opinion, but I have a lot to lern I think.
I think you misunderstood the previous guys post. He isnt saying that your back links depends on YOUR PR. But infact that your backlinks number (can) depend(s) on the linking sites PR. This is logical, since you can assume that google will give more 'notice' to a site of PR7 rather then a PR0 site.
As what has been mentioned by the some posters, Google does not show all the backlinks. Always use Yahoo or MSN for checking backlinks.
you can use the following tools to check backlinks : http://www.seologs.com/link-analysis-tool/backlinks.html Google only : http://www.seologs.com/dc-link-popularity.html (uses multiple DCs)
Showing 7 unique domains from the first 250 results of 172 total results Links To Domain: 172 Links To Homepage: 163 Pages Indexed: 213 Deep Link Percentage: 5% I was wondering how i can up that and get more traffic
Google shows only a small amount of the inbound links that are actually existing, in most cases. Less important ones are omitted from the "link:"-query result pages. I wonder if the omitted links are included in their internal ranking calculations at all. Has anyone done any testing in regard to this matter?
