What am I doing wrong? I have inserted keywords into the alt text, optimize titles and meta tags, used anchor text keywords.

Just build back links. post the site on free web directories. post comments on related blogs. write reviews / articles and important info. about your site - post it on other blogs and sites too with back links. give your users exclusive stuff (coupon codes and "special gifts"). if you will continue promoting your site on regular basis - you will see results. i wish you success.

I reviewed your website ( great-web-hosting.com ) and have some suggestions for you. I noticed that you're not using absolute links to your pages and not utilizing the title attribute for your linking. This is a great way to back your links and it does wonders for seo.

Have you had a chance to check out this:
adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal as it's a great tool to see what Google things you should target.

I also suggest bookmarking your reviews and also maybe add a comment system to the reviews to get new content.. what about having an RSS feed and a blog? I cannot express how much this does for your site. Content is the key to seo..

So say you're going after a keyword and someone is outranking you.. find out why! How? Where are they at? Target smaller keywords first to build some link weight. Here is a list of some link operators..

anything to do with hosting is difficult to come up on google, the competition is just toooo big, in my experince google will not touch your site for the first 2 years. Normally when I buy a domain for hosting related stuff I just put a blog on it and wait one year before I even start thinking about it.
when I say touch I mean sending traffic to it, not indexing it of course.....

 

Just building backlinks for your sites and keep on doing. No traffic from Google is because you have not good SERP for your keywords. Considering on the fierce competition on your niche, it might take longer time to have a good SERP result.
