could it be that your site is just too new?

it takes weeks to months for G to spider a site, even after reading the sitemap and robots.txt

    watch your server logs

It can take a while the more incoming links you get the quicker it will be. Also try to get links to internal pages and not just your home page.

thanks a lot pcdoc! looks like i'll have to go back in time to word-of-mouth advertising, at least until google puts me up. funny, looking at my server logs i've been spidered by google dozens of times and the sitemap has been downloaded every time it was updated, but it must be their penalty for new sites.

i got no PR in this weeks update either... jesus does that mean i have to wait until SPRING!???

nope, you wait till your site comes-up in the google que.

e.g., one of my customers' new sites has yet to be completely spidered by G, even though yahoo, msn and others hit it regularly.

we're getting good search results from the above, but obviously not G.

so for now, it's the arduous (and manual) process of adding links, content, and submitting a fresh sitemap to G every 24 hours.

eventually, the site will be spidered.
