No Google Backlinks

I have a site that has hundreds of backlinks on yahoo and msn but 0 for google. Is there something I’m missing? Is there a way to get google to recognize my backlinks?

 

i seem to have this issue too. I have been told that google does know about these back links but doesnt display them. This sounds kinda strange to me as i don't understand why they wouldnt display them.

 

google updates there backlinks every 3-4 months or so where yahoo and msn update weekly it seems

 

Do the backlink updates tend to coincide with the PR updates?

 

If they would have coincided then my PR would have been a cool "5" instead of "2" which I have got from a PR of "0".
MSN and Yahoo are both showing the backlinks with the "link" command.
Its very interesting that google shows my "backlinks" when I do the
link: www.mydomain.com (not the space between link: and mydomain)
Why doesnt it recognise it as true baclinks? Why dont they show up in the link:www.mydomain.com (without spaces) command?

 

i don't think this is the 'backlink' command. i think that by typing tat you are telling google to fetch pages containing the word 'link' and 'www. my domain . com'
