No Godaddy

    I notice a lot of people talking about pushing domains to other users on godaddy.

    I don't have a go daddy account, but I do have wild west which I know is somehow affiliated with them. Is it much more difficult to transfer to a non go daddy account?

    I just like keeping everything together, I get all my domains through my http://www.hostangels.com site.

    It would be pushed to that account, but then you can transfer it to your other registrar if you want to.

    What no one has spelled out for you is that most registars allow a free push, transfer of ownership, IF you stay at the same registar. When you transfer the domain form one place to another you always have to pay for one additional year of registeration.

    I like GD and have most but not all of my domains there. If I were buying one from some one here at DP, I would open an account where ever it is registered. A few exceptions to that rule, I would never do business with 1 & 1 nor would I assume a domain regged through some hosting company.

    Ya I think go daddy is great, even if you look at my site from above, the control panel looks very similar to go daddy, thats why I think they are an affiliate. I just wonder if someone can push to another registrar easily.

    I guess I can go get an account at go daddy, I just have so many accounts for everything, I would like to just use one place.

    Wildwest is an affilate type program run by goDaddy. They do keep things separete. Transfers would be trated like any other registar to registar transfer. At least that is my best guess.

    Domain sellers under the WildWest reseller program are treated as totally seperate companies.... You can not transfer a domain between wildwest, any of their affiliates, and/or godaddy.... They are all treated as seperate companies...

    I've transferred domains before, and it was easy. The go daddy push must be even easier I guess, if everyone is doing it.

    Most of my domains are registered with Domain Filer, never had a problem transferring them quickly to a buyer no matter where they have an account.

    namecheap.com is the best.. very user friendly with good features and very easy and fast pushing to another namecheap account :)
