I think I head Matt Cutts say sometime on a blog that what happens is that the PR from the link won't be passed at all. But it can be used for relevancy, i.e. anchor text might still matter. But that they show up in webmaster tools don't say anything but google know of the link, not that they use it.
anchor text is not passed on a no follow. you can write there whatever you want and you will still get the same results
You SURE about this? I think it does. Can't point to it now, but quite certain google actually came out and said this in a blog/video blog. Also I am 100% on that you can see nofollow links in GWT and also their text when you go on anchor text.
yes, nofollow doesn't pass page rank thats it. Is there any other problem,I think no. Every link counts and nofollow is only for google, and there are other tens of search engines, what about those?
To clear this up. No Follow does not pass link juice IE Page rank. However that little green bar does not matter one bit when it comes to ranking. No Follow does not affect ranking. So If you are just looking for PR and do not care about ranking then pay attention to no follow. If You are looking to rank well in the serps then No Follow links can actually help you. There is more information to back this up if you watch the video's in this thread. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1532866
