Why not. To goal of referral links is not to give linkjuice to others, but have your visitor click on it.

yes....if the affiliate you are linknig to is banned by google or penalized then you will also be penalized slighlty for linking to them, so in short, do put now follow tags in...

Yes, I suggest you to put "nofollow" to your affiliate links on your blogs. This way protects page rank and SERP of your sites./blogs

Yes, it's recommended to use the NoFollow tag with your affiliate links.

I happened to just nofollow all the affiliate links on my site. Took a while but more PR juice flowing evenly in the long run.

You should put nofollow, no questions about it. Otherwise you might get penalized by Google anytime.

Eh? Why would Google penalize you for naturally linking to other sites? Seems too much mis-information being spread about here.

Since it is established that your pagerank does not affect your rankings, why the need to try and horde your PR? If you are selling text links, then yes, go ahead and use a nofollow, but for naturally linking to a site because you recommend it...no need for nofollow.

Example: Our 'links' page is PR6 and yet we link to dozens of other sites on that page.

Yep make them do follow, why should they get extra linkage from your site for free without paying for it.

Thanks for your advise, now I know I should use no-follow for my affiliate links because it might hurt page rank and SERP. And also it came to my mind that maybe Google will treat those links as advertisements so the page will not be given much importance.

Thanks. Where would I put this code in my blog if I am linking to an affiliate like this

    <a href="http://www.inputsitehere dot com/">
    <img src="http://www.inputsite dot gif" /></a>

If "input site here" is the affiliate link.

    Thanks for the help

I am not allowed to add links so I had to add dot instead of "."

    ya, i do that..

i add the no follow tag to all of my affiliate links so my hardlink trades to other sites receive a higher benefit, rather than sharing that benefit with my sponsors..

I started adding nofollow to my affiliate links about 6 months back. Its a useless PR leak if you dont nofollow those links

I use nofollow in all my affiliates links. These nofollow are needed to keep our PRs :) You don't wanna pass pr to your sponsor :)

Man you have so much yet to learn... if PR didnt influence rankings, then every zero pr site would rank for Computer rather than Dell or Apple!
