dofollow basically is created by google for the PR system. Nofollow is not giving any PR juice to your site but nofollow link is still the link for other search engine

no follow links is not useless, if you would be more observant most site, i mean good sites has no follow attribute yet they get good standings..
keep in mind that SEO isnt just about backlinks...it also consider traffic and conversion
so whether its a no follow or do follow one, its fine..

The best advice I can give is to ignore what the link is and get it if it is quality. It isn't going to hurt you and it should definately help. I laugh when people turn away no-follow links. They do help, they may not pass pr but that is only for Google and if Google changes that tommorrow what is everyone going to do that has been ignoring them all these years?

There's some poor info in this thread..

Nofollow tags are only read by Google. All other search engines completely ignore these tags. And even though Google supposedly ignores nofollow links, Matt Cutts has admitted that nofollow links do indeed pass link juice, just very reduced amounts. Nofollow links help you have a natural backlink profile.

In my opinion time spent to create nofollow links is not much useful. If you can create one dofollow link in 5 minutes and 20 nofollow links in 5 min, I will take first option. Though Google officially declare nofollow links useless in gaining PR, most of the webmaters still believe it is helpful. I too believe nofollow links (some not all) are treated as backlinks with less power.

Yes, they will! Dofollow links are better because they increase your PR, but you should also leave your link on nofollow pages!
