My PR3 directory, Global Tsee Directory, which could receive around 40 featured links each month before July. But suddenly from July for no reasons, no featured links were submitted to my directory any more. I tested my directory, it's running perfectly. Did any other directory owners get same problem? Does people still submit to directories for SEO?
Maybe the problem is that the power of directories is not so big anymore and people don't want to pay for submission? I would try to lower the price.
Work on filling the categories. Then entire Arts section shows 0 entries for the sub-categories. It screams new directory rather than an established site that may stick around long enough to prove a featured submission worthwhile. IMHO, I'd start over on a new domain. Hanging it off of a "cheap directory submission service" site is probably hurting you.
I run this directory for almost 5 years, and since 2009, I got around 40 featured links each month, with no changes to the directory and for no reason, no featured links any more from July. So definitely it's not the problem of my directory.
Try rewriting your descriptions for better SEO. I found a keyword stuff description when checking 1 random listing. http://directory.gtsee.com/detail/link-469239.html
I have seen no noticeable decline in directory listings in our directories. KingBloom is very VERY consistent. There is a good base of regulars and new listings every day. If anything I have seen a steady increase.
Check where your listings were coming from, maybe you were listed on a high traffic site and aren't now.
Directories are returning to the nice business they were prior to Google's huge mistake of making links such a valuable asset to search results. Undeveloped and unbranded directories are going to find it much more difficult to sell anything.
Download "McAfee Siteadvisor" plugin for firefox or chrom whatever you are using and view it by your self #1 gives error and #2 does not give you error 1) http://www.siteadvisor.com/restrict...rue&aff_id=0&locale=en_us&ui=1&os_ver=6.0.2.0 2) http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/directory.gtsee.com/ You need to contact http://www.mcafee.com/us/about/contact-us.aspx to solve the problem.
Maybe those 40 featured links were coming from 1 link building company and for some reason they have decided not to use your directory anymore.
Find out what the source of those links were. It probably was from one source (traffic wise, seo companies) that is not there now.
no warry these day busienss is littel Slow cos Google Upgrde pagerank and Millions of Websites Get Pagerank i am also Owner of 125 pagerank 1,2,3 Web Directory i just Earn Small amount every month
Have you tried to lower the price or do anything else that will grab the user's attention? If yes then that would really work for you. Also try adding a few more categories that will increase the diversity of your site.
The price is very low, just $2.99 and permanently. These days I got some featured links, but not as much as before.
