No Errors on Sitemap but no Indexed Pages, either

    I have a site www.kitchenmatters.com that has been live for some while (months and months) and Google Sitemaps reports no errors yet I have zero indexed pages in Google.

    Does anyone know where the heck I can go to look into this deeper? The webmaster guidelines are to the best of my knowledge met so I am at a loss.

    Do you have some/many incoming links? Else... Get some! :)

    That at least seems like the best suggestion if
    Google sitemaps website does not report any errors.
    Your site also W3C HTML validate, right?

    How new is the site?

    Google Sitemaps does say that the creation of a Sitemap is not a guarantee that they will deep crawl or index your site.

    I guess I will go on a link building campaign once other projects eating my time clear up a bit. My other content sites are all eaten up by Google so this one is a bit of an anomoly (spelling?) for me.

    I would build links. As minstrel mentioned... a sitemap doesnt guarantee Google will index with it.

    I have a handful of inbounds, but got pulled off this project to manage other things that became suddenly big for me. I now have it on the whiteboard again to do a round of link building for all the domains including this one.
