My friend computer was working fine with 800*600 resolution. He has pentium4, 2GHZ processor and 256 MB ram. No any external cards. Now monitor display is not working after i changed the resolution 1024*768 screen resolution. Windows is loading first, then the power management frequency is display in black screen. What problem is this?. I did reset the lithium battery and changed load optimized default in bios settings. No use. What to do?. If i reinstall the computer, will it work?. Is there any solution for that?.

Try plugging your monitor in another PC and then change the resolution.
Or you can also try safe mode.

Try plugging it into a different computer and changing the resolution on that. This happened to me once and that was the only weay to really fix it.

Right-click on MyComputer > Properties > Hardware Tab > Device Manager

    Locate, Display Adapters
    Highlight > Right-Click > Update Driver

    Follow the wizard

First of all install the display driver match with your motherboard and set the resolution to 600*800.
