Hey guys, I just wanted to tell you that if you uncheck "Content Network" in your account, it will help you save money and get more legit hits!! Then you wont have to worry about fake clicks :)!

I was using up my daily budget early in the morning, now my daily budget last almost the entire day, and I actually get more traffic that is looking for my site, instead of an accidental click.

    What you guys think?

(Content Network means your ads are on adsense ;) )

Yep, most people with budget limits take their campaigns off the content network. Another idea is to have 2 campaigns, one for search and the other for content.

You might also want to try seperating your brand, competitive keywords, and long tail keywords into their own campaigns. This allows you to manage your budget better and give your brand and long tail keywords exposure throughout the day.

Oh and you are still open to click fraud, but it is mostly competitor click fraud and click pimping.

So you can't just make a Google search on Google.com and click ads over and over generating fraud clicks?!! Right!!!!! It's called your competition!!!

No man, I have seen a 100% traffic improvement on just the search engine, google.com. If your ads are on the content pages, then anyone in the world will click, maybe on accident not meaning to go to your site.

I promise, the traffic is awesome for my site now!

You just check mark a campaign, and click edit settings, and its on the right on the next page. I would recommend it!

What is important is not to forget to set the separate bids for the content network. You do not want to pay the same amount for the content click as you pay for the search click. The content clicks are great for some products but tend to be less targeted and buyers are less motivated.

    Hope this helps.

The problem that I had was that the content network is full of spammers ;)

I am sure it is but I still use it :) You have to check the log files on a daily basis and remove the offending sites.

The campaign quality is a "terra incongnita" to me - I have not mastered it fully yet. For example I don't really understand what is the "quality of the landing page" and how to improve it :D

What I like about the content network impressions and clicks is that, according to Google, they do not directly affect the CTR. So, I usually make the content network bids very low, like 3 to 7 cents and get a huge number of impressions a couple of days down the road. One has to remember that the content network ads have to be approved and that it takes a couple of days for the ad to get to Google partners.

Whoops, when I was refering to quality, I was not really talking about the "quality" terminology used by Google. I was talking about the quality of the campaign as required by me to achieve my advertising objectives :)
