No commission displayed after 1 day of referring friend

I referred my friend to hostgator through my cj referral link. I waited for 24 hours but no commission is shown yet in my cj account. 3 months ago when I referred my other friend to hostgator then the commission was shown within 2 hours in the cj account. Now what can be the problem today?

Are u sure that sale is made in your referal link? there is another chance also some spywares changes your referral link to their referral.

I have also experienced delays in sales statistics especially if it's during the weekend, but never longer than 72 hours. If you still don't see any results after 3 days, then either your referral link is not working, or the customer has disabled their cookies. Whenever you refer a friend, make sure their computer is accepting cookies. Otherwise, you might never get credit.

Spyware isn't stealing your commissions. People get so concerned about it, but it's against CJ's terms to automatically rewrite a link or set a cookie. I work on both the advertiser & publisher sides of the industry, and I haven't heard a thing about a spyware affiliate being discovered in CJ in ages.

Does HostGator send batch transactions? If so, it can take as long as they want for it to show up.

I don't think that HG does batch processing. I recommend that you contact HG's affiliate department with the all of the information that you can provide about your friends signup. Best of luck!

Wow!...I wish that were true and I'm not saying it isn't. However, I have felt some of my sign-ups and commissions haven't shown up. Two of my sign-ups last month of friends that I'm sure signed up at ebay, on my site and haven't shown up.
Also, have you or anyone else here looked at other affiliate forums? Most are full of accusations of commission stealing, parasites, etc. The problem is, how to prove or disprove these allegations?
Anyone using methods to track their commissions and sign-ups?

I did this with my friend two months ago, no commission showed up, and I emailed cj and hostgator about it.

All they said was that it was MY fault, and there was probably something wrong with the tracking code.

First of all, I'm not stupid.. the tracking code was perfect. Everything was done correctly. I've sold hundreds of items with cj, and I think I know how to give someone a simple aff code. No, I'm certain spyware didn't steal the commission.

My conclusion was, HostGator is ripping us off, and it's best not to waste our time promoting a company that cheats its affiliates.

I'm a little concerned with CJ reporting as well. I talked a client through the process of clicking on my links (not hostgator) then placing an order with MemorySuppliers.com. She wanted me to get credit for the sale, so she did what I told her. Nothing's shown up yet. I had another one with GoDaddy that didn't show up either that I knew had been clicked through properly. But what can you do??
