As much as your SEO expert would love to give you proof of the backlinks submitted for your website, the report is technically impossible to generate for now. Google do not even generate backlinks report.
There is software that can get an idea of the total backlinks, but you are right. It is not an easy task. Best advice I can give is to take note of your valuable backlinks, and keep them somewhere safe.
