    I'm not showing any backlinks... the site I run is under about.com - http://freelancewrite.about.com - is it because it's part of that network? Or something else?

    I have diligently spread my signature in many BBs, but after several weeks the backlink tracker still shows big fat zeroes.
    How come?

    Because the tracker only shows what Google reports. Google only updates back links every few weeks.

    I understand that. You are saying that the intervall of updates just may be longer than my files' existence, I guess.
