No "Ads by Google"?

I was surfing today and saw that a website was hosting ads... but I saw that they did not have "Ads by Google"... they were just normal links and they could hover. I thought these were just ordinary links, not adsense

however, when I right click and go properties, they show like

    http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/iclk?sa=blah blah blah

is this one of the advantage of being a premium publisher or am i just seeing things?

if anyone wants the link, i will post it here by request. or ill post a screenshot

What was the site? I have found some sites that frame AdSense ads in such a way that they obscure the "Ads by Google" comment, which is a violation of the AdSense TOS.

I do know that premium publishers get custom ads that don't always have the "ads by Google" comment

darn. i thought premium publishers needed to display ads by google too... thats unfair.

    It's this website:

    [removed] hehe

I saw that someone clicked on a link on that page that lead to my website so i checked it out. and apparently it was my adwords service and my ad was on the website.

the ads are located under sponsored links in the middle column

They must be a premium publisher, because those Google ads are written directly into the webpage and are not housed in an iframe.

    Must be nice.

That site is owned by PRIMEDIA which is a pretty large company with sites like Motortrend, Automotive.com and IntelliChoice if I'm reading everything correctly. So my guess would be their a premium publisher.

Beside the premium publisher, I have seen some peoples wrapping ads which is against the adsense TOS, I did reported for 1 site but that site didn't get banned or no action being taken against that site:s which shows that google doesn't care about it that much.

Heh, I just want to get to the point of BEING a premium publisher. Until then I don't bother to worry about what they're doing. I'm busy enough in my corner of the web.
