I started a campaign yesterday on adwords. This is the first time I am using adwords. I have setup about 25 keywords related to computer security for my forum. I have got balance of $139. I have set $0.40 per click which was earlier $0.20 but still i am not getting any activity.

Earlier i started it as $0.08 then i have increased it till $0.40 but not luck yet.

Any of you can help me ?

New accounts get reviewed before they go live. They can be slow to do this, they don't do at weekends and they don't do it over public holidays, so I would guess they've got a bit of a back-log.

Be very unique when writing your ads, be different. Have you noticed how pretty much every Adwords ad looks similar? Here's one I made up. It was for a weight loss product. I don't remember the exacts of it but it went something like this. . .

    Farts Are Funny Huh?
You Know What's Not? A Fat Gut.
Seriously Lose Yours Today Fart Fan.

I got so many clicks from this just from being different. Hope that helps.

    Hi nishant.soni,

It could be one of several reasons, not limited to this list:

    1) Not enough volume for your keywords to trigger your ads to be shown.

    2) Pending review(This could take longer than you might think; 1 week or more).

    3) Keywords or ads not targeted enough to your landing page/site/forum (QS issues).

    4) Depending on the niche and keywords, minimum bid prices might be substantially higher than you have bid.

Also, don't be afraid to submit a support ticket, or attempt the nearly impossible feat of getting someone at Google SEM on the phone.

    Good luck!
