Nigritude Ultramarine

yep.. i just saw he's 11.. i must of missed it.. just used to seeing it on page 1 etc

 

I happened to look at Google at the wrong moment this morning. Only 12,000 not over 500,000 entries for Nigritude Ultramarine. Ahhhhhh!!! Then the next moment there is 379,000. Still not back to over 500,000 as I write this piece. The craziness of the market leader Google that we all love and hate.

Why enter this competition, yes me new mate Sarah put it very well. The thrill of the chase.

• I prefer to be part of the competition by helping other sites, then earning links from them, rather than going hard out creating blogs or spamming wikis. If I can befriend one person and get lotsa links from them. Then with that new friendship I have the potential for future link partnerships with any new business endeavour.
• There are now a number of other websites that are ranking top of the world for particular terms as a result of the advice and links I have given over the last month.
• I have got more contacts regarding SEO/link partnerships in the last month, than I have had in the last two years of link and PR gathering.
• What a better way of getting PR into a site than being part of this competition.
• I know I have done well with my Auckland Restaurants site, but how good am I against the whole world. Good enough to be in the top 30 so far, and we'll see what happens for the second stage of the competition.
• How do you get your name out there apart from living on the edge with this competition. Thanks to Blue Falcon I have got my name mentioned around the world. I could not have hoped for better publicity.

So how about that for good reasons.

 

First half ended today at 0900 GMT - the DP/SEO/etc. team didn't fare too well (on the 2nd page of Google) ... but the second half runs until July 7th, so we'll see how that fares ... good luck Zoolie.

pretty good considering we have pr0.
hopefully we pick up some pagerank more appropriately based on all the nice linkage we are getting from our supporters.

T2Dman and N.U Dream Team are both on the front page in my results at the moment. It is dancing around a bit though. Maybe you're right Alek - a sign of things to come?

 

Dancing is an understatement - when I just checked, Zoolie's entry was #9 ... but I reloaded a few minutes later and it dropped back to #18 ... then back up to #15 - checking from Colorado, USA.
