I was thinking of making a niche forum site, then I heard from a reliable source that they had a very low CTR, and the work involved was not worth the trouble. I also thought of making a niche adult site, but I was told that adult sites have pathetic CTR as well. I personally think dating, blogging, gaming are good. There are many effective ways to generate traffic but it all takes time and hard work. Don't listen much to people! Just do it!
Many niches have good advertisers. And i didn't understand do you want a forum or website or blog? Forum can be made by phpbb and blog can be made by wordpress. But you should write unique content for each of them to have visitors.
