I agree with all but the downloads. I have a number of download sites that run adsense and although the clicks are few when they do click its ALWAYS over $1.40 per click
Noticed alot of people mentioned sport.. I think it depends on which sport. Horse riding pays well for me. I love writing about it so perhaps that makes the difference... Cheers Samantha
Sports can be good if you have a very specific niche in sports like a fan site of one player or team, and there has to be good quality content. Proxies, arcades, porn - all losers. There is really very little money in Adsense anymore, you have to have content that can be used to pitch affiliate offers nowadays.
Actually that's INCORRECT. You need quality, converting traffic. For example, you can get skim, and hitbot mess that will give you traffic alright. But most will bounce, or hit back before they even look at your site. You can get by with less traffic, as long as it's filtered, converting, quality traffic.
as far as myspace related, it doesn't pay well, and the users, just don't click on the adsense ads, so I'm trying out bidvertiser, and trying a couple different advertising methods right now. The best I've come across, was Auto-related, and auto-insurance related.
There is nothing called Niches to stay away from, you have to passionate about your chosen Niche and chose a keyword not too much competitive Check This Post " Find Out Which is the best Niche for Adsense website?
