Niche stores

I just bought a BANS and right now it seems that my biggest hurdle is finding a niche to run through my store. I have been told about finding keywords via Google and/or using a niche finding software (purchasing the software is not an economical decision that I can endure right now). So, what I am looking for are some creative ways to find a niche where it doesn't hit me in the pocket.

For niches, use the old adage, find a need and fill it, stay away from electronics as its way over crowded. Find a niche that is something everyone needs then go type that in at google adwords and it will show you most searched keywords.

Everything around you could be a niche. Find something you are passionate about, have knowledge in, a hobby, or even free items like video sites.

For some ideas visit www.nichefree.com. It's my blog I just started to give people niche ideas without having o buy software.

    Jerry,

I stumbled upon your site not too long ago and it has been one of the first that I visited and it is indeed full of information. In regards to finding a niche, does it matter that the niche has to be something that is sold via eBay?

No, It could be any specific thing. Not just the items sold on ebay. :)
