Niche social networks? Any money in it?

i am thinking of starting a niche based social network in my website. Is there a market for niche social networks by targeting on specific community?

where do i stand here?

 

Sure, why not. As long as you can develop a community (talent, hard work, lots of luck).

 

That will work nicely if you go little more vertical like targeting students/business class people etc.

 

Like emos or hoodrats?

 

Everybody is jumping on it. You can do it, before the next big thing comes.

 

I am currently doing it for Real Estate and let me tell you, it's alot of work. I can tell you that I have put way more money into this and probably won't see any in return for some time.

But I will say that it has been fun
