I know this is a very noob question, but I am quite new to this. Who can explain to me what a "niche" is.. Examples, etc?
A niche is a specific topic or field. Frisbee could be a niche, but frisbee golf or ultimate frisbee would be a more specific niche. Sometimes the more specific the niche, the less competition, but this is not always true. Chris
This is a very special topic with small number of people interested in it(there is small number of competitiors).
A niche could be as simple as ping golf club nine iron. If you search for internet access that is not really a niche it is to large a field on results. If you make site for internet access seattle washington that is a niche.

Most people will be aiming this at getting adsense clicks, though some people will be doing it for link building to their main sites, or to build pagerank on and sell links.
