    www.sigpig.com for sale

I'm getting rid of all my sites and domains except for one. You can read my explanation to why I'm getting rid of this site here:

    http://www.webpuffs.com/2006/09/29/im-hanging-it-up/

www.sigpig.com is a site I just started in the month of September. This site has a lot of potential in the right hands. The purpose for the site is to give web developers a place where they can rent, buy, and trade sig links and other links. Secondly, the site exists to provide a place for people who post in forums a way to make a few extra bucks by placing their sig links for rent or sale.

This is what you will get with this site:

    1. A sweet 6 letter domain name (expires 8/30/08)
    2. A great idea
    3. 4 banner ads I just had made $20 value
    4. The auction script that makes up the site (It is licensed to the domain name) $100 value
    5. $50 to finish an on going contest. (I started running a contest for those who submit the most items up for auction. When the contest ends I would like to give the winner the $50.)
    6. A very well written Press Release $10 value

    Here are some stats:

392 unique visitors this month (most traffic is from sig links)

    Unique Visitors
    Referrals

    0 revenue.

Bids start at $100 (cost of the script)

Thanks for the bid. I haven't decided when the auction will end yet. I really would like to get some of the money I have invested in it back out of it.

I'll make an initial bid of $50. That content prize kind of cuts into the budget lol. I like the idea of the stie but not sure how much I like the script for it.

Anyway, bid of $50 (+$50 contest payout).

I was planning on paying for the contest winner. I don't want the new owner of this site to get stuck with a $50 contest payout. I also don't want the contestants to get gypped if the contest is ended just because I sell the site. If I make sure the $50 pay out is followed through, I keep my word, the new owner doesn't get stuck with the bill, and I know for certain the winner will get the money. Everyone is happy. :)

I just have some domains for sale. My other sites I gave to my brother-n-law. I gave him a total of 3 sites. You can see my domains for sale here:

Ok, I will bid the $50.

Only thing I am worried about is it may be too complex of a system for such a simple fun idea. Nice to have the features down the road but may turn off potential users with all the mess/options.

Bid stands though. Rather than go off and make my own lol, I'll try to pay for the idea and implementation ;). (though we are still under your starting bid lol).
