Hi, One startegy I use (and only a small part of it []) is to become active member of forums within my business niche, ie.e clothing etc. However I seem to get banned for spam after making just ONE useful and intelligent post regarding that subject! Are there any universal rules? What should I avoid, have I gone OTT with the signiture too soon? What's everyone else experience? Mischa
Make informative posts and wait until you become more respected there. Don't spam, make your link building look natural by linking to relevant articles on your site and making use of your signiture.

New members on such forums would probably be suspected as a spammer most specially when you post links that would make you look like one.... Participate and contribute in the forum community. Don't just throw links.
Don't put your link in your signature just after registration and before your first post, even if the board allow it. Post 10 to 20 times, then throw in the link in the signature. You won't be banned that way
