Niche Search Engine (How is it done?)

I've come across a site that has a search engine that queries a set number/group of related websites and gives results based on them only.

More specifically.. This search engine is used for people looking for streaming movies. All the results are gathered and it lists this specific group of indexed sites that contain the movie title and a link to the streaming movie.

I noticed I was gaining traffic from this site and to my amazement, several movies on my site were getting indexed. Anyway, this is somewhat new to me and is something I think I'd like to delve a little deeper into.

How would one go about creating a mini-search engine like this? Are there any scripts that can be modified to easily duplicate it?

The site id www.naboliser(dot)com for those who are wondering.

    Regards,
    Jake

The site seems to be down but there are few options.

You can start with a service like rollyo.com or you can set up your own search engine with something like phpDig
