Here are a few resources I use when I want to find a new niche. You can find out what people are searching for. Like the latest trends and what not.

Its a small list, there are plenty more out there- like Google Zeitgeist and Yahoo- Buzz. But use these and you will get alot of great info.

    Nichebot - http://www.nichebot.com
    Shopping.com Top Searches –

    AOL Hot Searches - http://hot.aol.com/hot/hot
    Google Groups - http://groups.google.com
    Craig's List - http://www.craigslist.com
    Delicious Popular - http://del.icio.us/popular
    Dig - http://www.digg.com
    Google Catalogs - http://catalogs.google.com
    Google Suggest –
    http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en
    Technorati -http://www.technorati.com

By the way, if you want some info on how successful marketers utilize there websites go here - http://sitepointmarketplace.com

They show all kinds of info for websites that are up for sale. Awesome information here, that you cant get any other way.
