    Hi,

    Please review:

    http://kat.blapper.com/

The site aims to help webmasters identify niche keywords with low levels of competition.

    I'm interested in knowing...

    - is the site useful / interesting?
    - is it user friendly?
    - do the reports make sense?
    - how could I improve it?

    Thanks,

    fcmisc.

    Is the site useful/interesting

I found it interesting. Not quite sure what everything was for or supposed to do - but I did read alot :)

    Is it user friendly

    Seems to be.

    Do the reports make sense

    Not to me...yet

    Query Database
Would be useful to know what all the terms that make up the query are for. Some are explained as tooltips on the report underneath but others I had to guess at. (I assume adwords popularity = number of adwords for that term, but couldn't work out what adwords competition would be - may I got them mixed up?)

Perhaps an explanation (or link to an explanation) of how and why to use the report tool could be added to the top of each specific tool page. ie What "Low PR Terms" checks for and why it is of interest etc.

    How could I improve it

I'm sure these tools would be useful but I don't really have the time to find out exactly what they do. I think the biggest improvement therefore, would simply to write a number of detailed but simple text reports with examples explaining:
    • how to use the reporting tools
    • why you would want to use the reporting tools
    • An example showing how and why
    • what you should be looking for in the results
    • etc
Then have a fixed link to this just above the "Reports" Menu on the right called "How to use these reporting tools" or something.

    - is the site useful / interesting?
Yes, I am intrigued, to say the least. I haven't seen a site with this level of data yet.
    - is it user friendly?
The design is user friendly. I'm not sure the information is. It's completely over my head, but I am an admitted novice at SEO stuff.
    - do the reports make sense?
I think I get the idea of the data they are supposed to provide, but I'm a bit unclear on how a user would apply it to their particular site.
    - how could I improve it?
Add a very detailed FAQ to the site. Not only should the reports be explained in simple terms, but you should identify common website owner types and how they could use the data. The e-commerce site owner, the affiliate site owner, etc.

I would have those easy to spot on the home page since the other data can be overwhelming. Most users, however, can identify with the type of site they manage and will likely be interested in seeing how your services will help them specifically.

This looks very promising, especially if you build it out to be a one stop shop for webmasters to find detailed information on keywords. Good luck!

i think the analyze feature should be much more prominent, because isn't that the whole point of the site? i kind of ignored it at first. the results of the report were also filled with fputs() errors [no idea what those are]. and drupal might have a bit of an issue with you stealing their logo.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my site. I don't think there's any issue with me using the Drupal logo as

    a) it's open source
    b) I'm using the default theme settings.

Anyway, I'll post a question on the drupal forum to see what they say.
