Niche Jewelry Site for Sale

I have a customer that's looking to sell one of her sites since she doesn't have the time and money right now to advertise and market it. She started another business as VA and getting too busy. The site it's not having sales but has great potential.

It's jewelry and buttons targeted to Christian market. Jesustogs.com have been around over a year now. Here are the details:

What is up for sale?
-domain (registered with Godaddy Exp. 2008-03-09);
-main site (html pages with several pages of content about jewelry, articles script, unique design with flash navigation);
-shopping cart Zen Cart, with unique template;
-dropshipment contacts for jewelry and button imprinter (you create the designs they print and ship)

A couple of sales on the last 3 months.

The site is hosted with IDEAS (me) and has a monthly plan of $14.95, there's no SSL since owner uses Paypal. New owner will need to set up their own payment method, very easy just to change to your Paypal account on admin.

The CafePress store link on the site IT'S NOT FOR SALE. Only main site and Jewelry/Button store.

The linkback on the footers of designs to IDEAS have to stay on place if you continue to use them. There's no PSD file for the template so please, don't ask for it since it doesn't exist.

I see that traffic has been always going up and the site now gets it's best traffic

any ideas why no sales coming ?

what BIN do you have in mind ?

do you have PSD files for this web design ? is it unique ?

 

What is conversion rate ? Based on daily trafic since Dec 2006 you should get a sale each 3 days at min if not each day.

Yes, she has good traffic, I just don't know why she is not converting to sales. Maybe untargeted traffic? I really don't know because I haven't managed that. She thinks is just too much competition, I think is just lack of good marketing.

The design is unique (I custom made it for her) but there's no PSD because I just built the pieces I needed apart with Corel (and other programs) that's what I use for most of my designs.

BIN?... she doesn't know... MAO and we will see what she says.

 

Well, I would say it's not really promoted. Competition - yes it's not small for sure, but she is getting traffic, so visitors are coming and slowly increasing. Main question from where ? Good to see referals.

 

Most part of her traffic is coming from the CP shop. The rest from some forums she is part of, her articles on main site (coming from SE's), and some other little promos (free & link exchange) here and there. But I would say a 90% is from CP store.
