Anyone tried any of the programs designed to find "niches".. there are a ton of them advertising on adwords and theyhav all cost a pretty penny.. I really don't mind paying for one if it will actually work...

anyone have some actual experience and recommendations with what to use/ not to use? I'm always skeptical of these kinda things and anyone with firsthand knowledge would be great :)

As soon as you try to find a niche with some program you will never find it because it stops being a niche.

The only real way is doing it manually... thinking about themes, checking overture, cheking google, analyzing how easy it would be to rank... \
Hard work indeed, but believe me, when you find of these niches they provide a very nice and stable source of income

Sure is. But a program won't help, because many people are using it and finding those supposed "niches"

I agree with Fryman.. anything that is found with a program is either not worthwhile, or already not really a niche.

My best advise is to take a common product or service but find a dedicated niche. For example if you market sky vacations you can either focus on a single location or on a single market (singles or seniors). Doesn't matter what is the niche as long as you focus on it.
