Hey guys: I haven't used directories for backlinking purposes in a long time. The last time I heard anything about directories - it was said that they weren't that effective anymore. I usually do a lot of article marketing. Just wondering what your thoughts on directories are and if they still work.
I buy links in niche directories if they are quality and they seem to work well. Your average toss up a dir script on a dropped domain is worthless IMO.
I would say that niche directories are still very useful. Regional directories would also help in Google Places.
In my vision directories works very well if directory is a good one. In late days I see that clearly. My all latest featured links have gained very quality google backlinks from my directory, some of them are 1 week old in my directory
General and niche directories work very well as long as it’s a quality web directories and not some dropped domain rubbish. Thanks Brian
We still use the free directory lists and they also work. It's just lot more difficult to find ones that will last. Approval rates are also down which makes them a bit more expensive. You end up paying more for less, despite them being free.
I think niche directory is the best when compared to the other directory site ! Because now a days google look into the theme and give priory to the theme based directory ! i think niche directory is ok to get SERP .
