Niche Business for Sale!

    Hello.

    I was not sure whether this belongs in the Announcement forum, or here. It is not really affiliate marketing related.

    In November 2005, I purchased the domain http://www.northernpipes.com with the entent of starting up an online estate tobacco pipe store, to sell restored tobacco pipes. I then purchased about 30 used tobacco pipes off of Ebay to sell. Being a pipe smoker myself, I can assure you that there are some gems in the used pipes.

    My original business plan/idea was as follows:

    1. purchase select used pipes off of Ebay for <$5.00
    2. either refurbish them myself, or send them away to a professional for restoration and repair (~$10.00 per pipe)
    3. Sell them through my web store for $30-$100 each, depending on the brand and the history.

    This is a guaranteed money maker - and it is a niche marketing. For some of you with great experience in advertising and promotion, I don't doubt that you would be able to drive alot of traffic to this site.

    The only reason I am not pursueing this myself is that fact that I am a student, and I was just married last month. I leave for work work at 7:00 AM and don't get back until 6:00 PM. I don't want to spend every evening working a side job at this point in time.

    The domain has some age on it. Without any promotion at all, it is getting regular visitors, and is surprisingly making me some money via AdSense.

    I am looking to sell:

    1. The domain (http://www.northernpipes.com)
    2. The inventory (roughly 30 used tobacco pipes, some need cleaning, some are ready to sell)

    I am not looking to make money from this - I am only hoping to recover my investment.
