As much as I hate writing articles, I think article marketing is one of the most effective ways of getting targeted traffic to your site. In the long term the backlinks also help you rank higher in the search engines, so it's definitely worth doing.

can you explain this further? is it not true that these article submission sites are very strict and they have standards, and also must be original? so you write almost all day? writing tons of articles for submission to these sites? or you write one article and just spin it to create new article? how is it?

1st - A site that is SEO optimized.
    2nd - Good keyword research.
3nd - Bookmark site to get it indexed quickly.
4rd - Link-building - forum posting, blog posting, article submissions, web 2.0 submissions, and more link-building.

Following these 4 steps will get your site listed on google for your desired keywords quickly and will bring you revenue.

    About Article publishing Sites

You can submit the same article to several (perhaps more) article publishing sites. If you choose AdSense revenue sharing sites, these can make more money than you websites/blogs some days. Plus, the article will deliver targeted traffic long-term.

It isn't free though - unless you don't charge for your time - and it is rarely instant.

Forum marketing is a great way to easily build backlinks, most forums want as many posts in Google to be indexed as possible, which means you've got a load of easy backlinks, while discussing your niche (Most of the time) it's a great way to improve your SERP rankings. :)

Personally mine would be Twitter, I think it's a amazing traffic source if you know what your doing. :)
