Niche Blog Problem

I've started a blog on sports cars released/releasing in 2007-2008. I've submitted the blog to various social networking siltes like digg, mybloglog, propeller, etc. I wanted to experiment on how much traffic i would get from these sites and surprisingly my stats showed that i didn't get a single view from these sites except from the admin.

My question is what is the right place or way to find targeted traffic for a niche? Where do we find visitors who might be interested in our blog/site?

My personal opinion is that it basically depends on how much potential your niche has got. If it's a fairly "tappable" niche, I think you should join related forums and promote the URL of your blog through your signature or in your posts (without spamming). You can also add it on your sig here on DP (when you can); I'm sure it can bring you a lot of traffic.

If you have a decent budget, I'd recommend buying some links. You want to be careful here though; read around the forums and I'm sure you'll learn how to do this safely. And if you can afford it, I'd really suggest PPC advertising. PPC's the undisputed king of targeted traffic. If you've got quality posts on your blog, then you can actually do some great arbitrage with your PPC investment.

If you need any more help, you can reach me on PM.

    Cheers
