Thanks for the warm welcome. :)

Commodore Vic 20 - showing my age I guess.
Dad won it on a poker game when I was 10 or 11.

    10 print "Commodore is kewl";
    20 goto 10
    run

Was the coolest thing in the world back then.

Just found this doing a google...

    Hello vauge :)

I always wanted a vic20, then the commodore 64, but had a ZX81 (1k with 16k ram add-on) and then a 32K BBC B - Always used to get annoyed after typing in a program from a magazine for 2 hours, only to find there was a typo :(

The Vic20 was ok, but I will never forget my old TI99/4a. That was a "computer"! :D

Any other fans of the TI99/4A here?

Dude, I still have the nightmares - especially since I wasn't a fast typer back then. (My highest was the 64 - didn't own another computer until 98)

    Welcome to the forums...

You all know that the Amiga kicked arse though

I had a 1500 (After my C64) - man that machine rocked... I loved to play streetfighter all day :)

vauge: psst, ask david_sakh about his username, he won't tell us why he chose it (here)

    debunked:
hey dude, that's pretty much the same as me - I couldn't afford a PC until '97

SEbasic: I think I only ever saw Ultima at the time - that was so cool back then. I might go find one on eBay when I get my paycheck :D

I remember those days. Best though was the tape drives! I remember stealing my sister's Tears for Fears and U2 tapes to copy games from my friends.

That, and playing Montezuma's Revenge on the commodore 64.

    Err, welcome!! :)

LOL, mine was "Pet Shop Boys" and I used Elmers gue to fill in the hole. That is until I did the stupid thing and snipped off the end of the arm that checks if the cassette is recordable.

EnergyRay.com, thanks for the pic, all my evil intentions are now resolved. :)

Ok, not all - I still want to win a lifetime supply of chick-o-stick* and Dr Pepper.

*"chick-o-stick" is a handmade candy from Waco Texas that has been around forever.
