Hey, I'm not much of a designer, so I was wondering if anyone can recommend a nice share of green for the header and background. I have one up right now, but i'm not sure if it looks very good.

    Thanks!

Actually those colors work pretty good. Only thing I can offer is to open the graphic in Photoshop and try different shades of green and see if you can raise the contrast.

Purely for readability purposes. Like I said the colors work pretty good.

The green looks fine, but in Firefox you have text over the header. "Soccer Training Guides, Tips, and Drills"

I also like your green. One thing that I find can be useful is to just sit there and tweak it slightly and reload the page. Any graphic program like Photoshop or GIMP (which is free) has a color picker dialogue that allows you to see HTML color codes. This can be handy because you can change hue, saturation, and brightness, which may be more natural than red/green/blue, but you can manipulate the RGB values by hand.

If you want to improve it, i'd just experiment. I like the deep green you have now though, it's a good soccer color because it conjures up images of a green field, and it contrasts with the orange, white, and black that makes up your logo and the rest of the page. You'll probably do well to keep it or use a color only slightly different.
