NH First in the Nation Primary - Early Returns

New Hampshire is pretty special, it's the first in the nation primary. While Iowa already had it's straw poll, it still has to have it's state convention to determine the winner.

There is a little town in New Hampshire called Dixville-Notch which always votes at midnight tonight. They don't always pick the winner, but the results do get state wide attention in the morning papers and news broadcasts.

Look for Dixville-Notch returns as early as 1 AM EST.

And tomorrow, the rest of the state will begin it's primary election. :)

I may have to stay up for the Dixville-Notch returns. I can't sleep anyway. Here's hoping the Paul campaign made their way to Dixville-Notch...

I'm voting for Obama in the NH primary tomorrow. If I could vote on both the Democrat and Republican ballots I would cast my vote for Ron Paul too.

    Wow. Dixville Notch

    Obama 7
    Edwards 2

    McCain 4
    Romney 2
    Giuliani 1

    I think that's it.

Paul, Huckabee, Thompson and Hunter shutout. Same with Clinton and Richardson.

Apparently Duncan Hunter showed up, but they didn't even have his name on the board.

    Lame. Oh well.

Interesting that there were more Dem votes than Republican... I was looking up Dixville-Notch on wiki and they usually vote for Republicans more so.

My gut feeling right now is that Obama is not only going to win the Dem. nomination but that he's going to absolutely wipe the floor with any of the so called "mainstream" Republicans. I really don't think it's even going to be close.

John "100 years in Iraq" McCain?
    Mike "Soldier of God" Huckabee?
    Mitt "Magic Underpants" Romney?
    Rudy "9/11" Giuliani?
    Fred "Check My Pulse" Thompson?

    Not so grand ol' party.
