    We all have our opinions, that is just my opinion. I dont see it as a valuable domain name.

    there are alot of forums with nfl in the name like nflforum.com, that are not reg by the nfl

    I don't think that "forum" is really that bad compared to "forums". However, I understand the the NFL is a real pain about their trademark. A visible disclaimer (and not using the NFL logo) would probably alleviate most issues.

    If you believe in the domain name, I suggest that you develop the site.
