NFL Picks Front Page back and Forth how to stick with my pick?

So have played around and achieved a lot of front page rankings over the past year that our site Coopers Pick has been up but have never had the trouble of maintaining as I have with the term nfl picks which seems to be a hot commodity in football season. We have been as high as spot number 6 and ever since hitting the front page have bounced from 6 in the beginning of the nfl season to 8-10 to currently being at 13 or so. Is there a rule of thumb once I can hit 3 or 4 that i should be able to maintain a first page rank for a while or what? Any tips beyond aggressive link building from here on out ?

It sounds like some websites did some major seo as the football season started and pushed your link down. You just need to focus on SEO. First, make sure your keyword is in your title, in the first h1 tag on your site and scattered throughout the text and alt tags.

Here is another tip: find websites that used to rank in your niche that went out of business. Buy their domain. Redirect to your site.

Other than that, you need to build links.
