Thanks, man! I made the mistake of wearing my Mike Brown jersey to last year's playoff game. It's a bit bigger than the Payton and I had like six layers of shirts under it. It's supposed to be nice and warm for tomorrow's game so it shouldn't be a problem.
looks nice...nearly friggin' hot for Jan!! how many layers then 3? who's starting?? If Dallas 'held' them to 21, Bears ought to be able to hold them to 6
My money is on Seattle 27 to 3. I picked Sea Hawks/Colts in SB at the start of the season. That happens, that'll be something else given I picked ever single play off game thus far. And the last 5 UFC fights. I'm on a roll. I should bet more than 5 bucks at time from now on.
Grossman isn't that bad really. http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/396159/gamelogs/2006 He's had some horrible games and some spectacular games. The Bears just have to play decently to beat the Seahawks again. Really, it's the Bears defense that worries me. Since Mike Brown went down, they've been shit!
True, but he's not that good either. At least not Super Bowl good. Same here, but for different reasons. Their defense has been unstoppable, winning at least 5 games this season that Grossman blew. Remember that Cards game? Not a single offensive point. Grossman fumbled or had like 5 interceptions in that game and the Cards still lost. That one still sits in my mind as one of the goofiest games in NFL history. I'm pretty sure that is the game that cost Arizona's coach his job. What a game. Damn!
Now that the Giants arew out, I'm going for Saints! We just beat Eagles! Our running game was awesome. They seemed very tired, since they had 6 days off and we had 2 weeks off.
I was at the Atlanta Airport watching the Bears game today. Michael Vick got off one of the planes and starting watching the game with everyone else. He got there like middle of the 4th quarter and stayed till it ended at one of the gates. Kinda cool to see him in person, but some kids wanted to take a picture and get an autograph, but he said no. He had a few guys with him; wasn't sure if they were players as well or not. I'd guess not, cuz they were carrying his bags LOL
He did talk to some people watchin' the game. Just not the kids - I don't really blame him. Teens. Ugh. I was surprised he stayed to watch it, actually. I thought it was funny that he got off an Airtran flight. Probably paid that $40 to upgrade to first class . After the Bears won, everyone looked over to see how he reacted, but he and his buddies just walked away and that was that. My brush with fame today. I've seen Hulk Hogan and Michael Vick now. Life is good
stupid teens with their rock and or roll music I saw 'The Ultimate Warrior' (another WWF guy) up close one time but that's it I think!
Congrats to the Bears, though it did suck seeing them barely skate by yet another game. It was worth it seeing the Chargers get taken down though. It's cool seeing celebs when you least expect it, and I have always found that the airport is the place it always happens. I was on a flight with Chris Elliot (that guy from "Cabin Boy") once. Sat next to him. Very dry/boring person. Met Martin Sheen in Chicago while catching a flight out to NYC to my uncles funeral. Very nice guy in person. Well kept, wearing a 3 piece suit and carrying a brief case. The ticket agents were all over the guy. Most football players I've met in person tend to be dick heads IMO. Baseball is even worse. I was at CDW in Vernon Hills as a guest of my rep of the time at some event and Reggie Jackson was there. I was gonna get an auto graph for my mom (a Bronx native/Yankees fan) and the guy was a complete dick. Wanted me to buy a baseball and give him 30 bucks more to sign it. Friggin loser. Now, Mickey Mantle on the other hand was completely different. About the only sports personality out there that seemed loyal to fans. Go NO!
I think someone else on DP had a similar Chris Elliot story..unless that was you! "Cabin Boy"...kill me now...where is that "worst movie of all time" thread??? he was also "Woogie" in "There's something about Mary", slightly less annoying - actually did a good job in that one.
Probably. I was so hoping for him to say something silly, but he was pretty normal actually... Kind of like Rowan Atkinson, aka "Mr. Bean". He is not at all like his character in the least! Oh, I am pretty sure I had that rated in that thread as being up on the top of my list next to "12 Monkeys". [/quote] He was funny as hell as Woogie. That and that show he used to do where he was the paper boy? I think he did a doritos commercial a while back that was pretty funny. Weird guy!
Ok, this is it! The lucky Payton jersey is ready...we leave for the game in 7 hours...... If the Bears win I'm not coming home until Thursday! Bears: 35 Saints: 24 SUPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BOWLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!
What? Reverse the scores? Dude, that just shows how much 'Sconsin people know about football. Stick to Musky fishing, son!
I guess I understand how you feel, not having been this far before. The ego tends to get blown way out of proportion! I'm not sure I even know what one is. I'm too close to the border to be full bread WisCANsin... (my wife hates that). I grew up watching the St. Louis Cardinals (man did they suck). Another former Chicago reject team! In all seriousness, good luck! I've got a big bash going on at my place today. Decided not to watch it with my best friend who is a BEARs fan and former Chicago resident (born and raised). When the Bears are doing well he is obnoxious as hell, and his (WisCANsin born and raised) wife is even worse. When they are doing poorly he sits quietly and bites his nails. It's pathetic. After the game last week he asked his wife to drive him to the emergency room. He gets way too worked up watching the Bears. I'm thinking watching the Bears play might be unhealthy for Bears fans. Anyway, good luck!
