nah man, not even regular cable! We slum since we don't watch regular TV much if any. so, I'llm be needing a place to go on the ESPN/NFL network nights! here here is the drawback to not having a NFL ticket: 2 crap games early, PIT&HOU....HOU gets smoked. PHI&STL....STL gets smoked. Meanwhile my Boys looking solid against CLE, 21-7 @ 1/2
So much for the Lions and their undefeated streak. Ahhh, the joys of being a Lions fan.... I just love it when the quarterback choses to slide half-a-yard short of the first down marker...
~ 222 yards rushing by the ATL guy gash city Thankfully FOX let us watch the last 2 mins of last play of the game with an amazing throw and catch in the EZ and they won it! total shocker. pretty shocking one going on right now too, CHI running rough shot over IND!!
whoa....Brady's season over after injuring knee vs. Chiefs awesome job by the bears getting the best of IND...a rarity indeed.
This is going to be a weird football season I think. Colts did not look the same, Chargers were beat by the Panthers, and Tom Brady is out for the season. What's next, the Lions making it to a Superbowl? JK JK JK. I'm really starting to think there has been a power shift to the NFC. Not only is Vince Young hurt, but people are saying Kerry Collins has a chance to take his starting job.... What does T.O. eat? He's 34 and still one of the best.
You are absolutely right about this season turning out to be very very weird. The funny thing is that it seems so just after the first week! The biggest powerhouses in the AFC are suddenly looking vulnerable. Patriots are no longer the "Patriots" without number 12 , which is not only sad for the team but for the NFL(unless you are Brett Favre lol). On the other hand, the Bears completely shocked the Colts in their "new" stadium. But I fully expect them to bounce back next week. Yes, the NFC is suddenly looking stronger. They have potentially the best team in the league in Dallas...while they also hold the reigning NFL champs. Then you have the Eagles back on track with Donovan Mcnabb in full form. But as for tonight I'm taking the Vikings over the Packers and Broncos over the Raiders. Westoff.
I wouldn't go that far as of yet. Aside from the NFC East who scares you? and even then it looks like WAS is far from what they were last year...(competitive). CLE went 10-6 last year and missed the playoffs...10-6 in the NFC is a playoff lock! Would win most of the divisions @ that. let's see how the next 7 games play out...hard to jump to conclusions after 1 game I think. not giving up 300yards a game rushing they're not!
I agree it is way too early, it was my early synopsis, which holds little ground after week 1. If Vikings and Packers are as strong as I think they are (mainly Vikings), then I think the NFC North will be just as competitive as the NFC East. Also from the looks of it the NFC South is pretty strong. I do think the NFC West is probably one of the worst in the NFL though, unless Seattle can shake off the dust.
I'll take anyone over the Packers... In related news, looks like I made it this far without getting a Fantasy Football team. I suppose if someone drops out mid-season, I'll be told that I am taking over their team...
haha. I wasn't able to get a league going, so I'm doing a pick the winner each week game. You get to pick 1 team per week to win, but your never allowed to use that team again, and if they lose your eliminated. I bought 2 picks which is the limit, and I lost 1 of them already..I chose the Lions over Falcons , my other pick was Jets over Dolphins so that was nice. T.O. also eats QB's when the meal doesn't satisfy his hunger. *cough* McNabb, Garcia, Bledsoe *cough* The Vikings look pretty stacked on paper.
yeah, I think if nothing else expectations are A LOT higher than how it finished last year, especially for the teams you mentioned. I guess you could toss CAR into that mix as well based on thier gritty performance in SD and that they have Jake D back...that will go a long way to making their team better. RAMS & WAS looked like abs crap though lol, yes! good one
I didn't see either game last night but it sounds like the Vikings didn't really show how good someone (Shane )thought they would be! Who watched it?
I didn't watch the entire thing, because I was multi tasking, but I put the blame on Tarvaris Jackson! 16 of 35, 178yds, 1td, and 1int. Those numbers are beyond terrible! Raiders were wellll....the Raiders. Denver looked good.
