He was just suspended for 1 game, and given a $50,000 fine. I'm glad the NFL doesn't take that stuff lightly anymore.

that's good. I forget who the player was? but I wager that 1 game's salary + 50K is a large chuck of his pay for the year? not for most nfl players, that would be nothing though.

Eric Smith, Strong Safety. They said he has a 4 year 2.1 million dollar contract. The league minimum is somewhere around maybe 350,000 to 500,000 a year? Either way 50K is 50K haha. Even if I had 25 million sitting in the bank I would hate to give away 50K for something like that.

Travis Henry is in trouble for a "multi-kilogram cocaine transaction". http://www.cbc.ca/sports/football/story/2008/10/01/henry-dea.html

A child paternity lawsuit in Georgia last year revealed Henry has fathered nine children by nine women located in four different states. jeeze. haha

Guys like Maurice Clarett, Lawrence Phillips, Quincy Carter, the Vick brothers, Pacman Jones, Ricky Williams, Chris Henry, and etc. make me sick. I don't understand why they put their careers in jeopardy.

**I also did a quick search on Chris Henry to see what happened to him, and come to find out he changed his name to Chad Johnson?

The high gas prices had Travis looking for new ways to supplement his income.

There is no doubt in my mind he thought it was protein powder. Travis Henry would never associate himself with drugs.

I guess when Chad changed his name to ocho cinco it left Chad Johnson available.
I'll bet you green rep Chris Henry screws up again.

    T. Henry sounds like a good candidate for the Jerry Jones rehab program :p

I would say there's a 7 to 10 chance he will do something stupid. If he does, he will get a one year suspension, and will never play in the NFL again. Most players like that don't ever change.

Another loss to the Redskins, and Jerry Jones may have to put them in the garbage removal program. :D jk.

There were a couple upsets yesterday. Dolphins > Chargers, and Falcons > Packers.

Redskins are 4-1, and their next 3 opponents are a combined 1-10. They are executing, and playing like a real team.

yeah, who knew on those two games!

wow, how bad was Seattle? Are they that bad or are the Giants that good? I expect them to be 6-0 no problems as well.

Redskins looked every bit the team that beat Dallas. on the other hand, Eagles looked a lot less impressive than when they played Dallas.

Dallas got lucky in some respects. They were anemic on offense for the better part of 2 or 3 quarters....way too many 3 and outs.

This is a bad year for Lions fans. :( I need a backup team to cheer for this year. Any suggestions? (Don't bother suggesting the Packers)

Seattle has a lot of injuries, but I didn't expect them to be this bad. Maybe they'll step up? Right now though, I think they will finish in 3rd behind the Cardinals, and 49ers.

Whats up with T.O. lately? He seems like he's depressed?

I'm sure Marinelli will be canned by the end of the season, or maybe before then. Drew Stanton needs to be put in now that he's healthy, but that probably won't happen for a couple more weeks. Then I heard Roy Williams might just move on during free agency, because the Lions aren't making an effort to keep him there. It would be a huge mistake to let him go!

I did not know that about Seattle injury wide....then the massively long flight from the west to the east coast.

who knows with TO, I guess he just wants the ball more :p

I have been thinking about the Lions long losing streak. They need to change the colors and mascot.

    That will improve their chances.

    Start pulling for the Jets.

    Go Farve.

Charles Rogers is the next Randy Moss, and I'm pretty positive that Mike Williams is going to make an immediate impact in the red zone. I also see Kevin Jones as a long term RB, and Joey Harrington is for sure a franchise QB.
